Markaz Sponsors 11th RunKuwait Charity Race to Support Children’s Rehab

Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz'' concluded its sponsorship of the 11th edition of the RunKuwait charity race organized by the Fawzia Sultan Healthcare Network (FSHN) on November 11th. The race that took place starting from Murouj aims to support the rehabilitation of children with special needs. Markaz's sponsorship of this event comes in line with its comprehensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and its keenness to support initiatives that contribute to the development of all community segments. In addition to the sponsorship, Markaz was also present at the race through its team members who participated in the run. 

The RunKuwait initiative has been proactively raising awareness and generating funds over the years to support the Children Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC), administered by FSHN, to provide essential medical assistance to children with special needs. 

Commenting on Markaz’s support of the initative, Sondos Saad, Vice President of Media & Communications at Markaz said: “We are honored to sponsor the 11th edition of the charity race, RunKuwait, that serves such a vital cause. Markaz consistently encourages its employees to participate in the CSR events that the company supports to drive positive change and promote significant social and economic objectives. The company’s CSR strategy is founded on three key pillars - building human capacity, aligning the business environment with the principles of sustainable development, and promoting good governance in the business environment. 

RunKuwait welcomed 1,450 participants from across the country, regardless of age or fitness level, making it a highlight of Kuwait’s sporting event calendar that also supports an important cause. This year’s edition helped raise about KD47,000 through registration fees and sponsorships alone.
